Continued from “Rebellion”

Jesus continued His parable: “But when the king came in to see the guests, he noticed a man there who was not wearing wedding clothes. ‘Friend,’ he asked, ‘how did you get in here without wedding clothes?’ The man was speechless. “Then the king told the attendants, ‘Tie him hand and foot, and throw him outside, into the darkness, where there will be weeping and gnashing of teeth.’ “For many are invited, but few are chosen.”

What does it mean, wearing wedding clothes? Paul explains: “To do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do”. To not do what God wants is to sin.

2013-01-pub-church-02-576x537Don’t we also let sin into our church? Because God wants it? Because we ourselves want it? Is it WE who want to listen to all kinds of music, so we invite all kinds of bands to play in our churches? Is it WE who want to play videogames, so we run “Christian” LAN’s at our church? Is it WE who want to practice yoga and oneness and transcendental meditation, so we do so in our church? Is it WE who want to do any damn thing like everybody else, so we let everybody do any damn thing in our church? And we say, like the classic ‘self-admiration society’: “Oh, so and so many accepted Christ”.
In what way did they accept Christ? Do they don wedding clothes? (Yes, perhaps some may do so eventually.)
Bu is it not we, the church-people, who don’t want to leave everything and follow Jesus? Do we take His priceless gift, salvation, for granted?

“But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy, made us alive with Christ even when we were dead in transgressions – it is by grace you have been saved. And God raised us up with Christ and seated us with Him in the heavenly realms in Christ Jesus, in order that in the coming ages He might show the incomparable riches of His grace, expressed in His kindness to us in Christ Jesus.”

I dream of a church who offers souls an oasis of holiness. A place where help is given to anyone and everyone who wish to unburden themselves of all the excess baggage they carry on their backs, in their pockets, in their bodies and minds. A pool where clean water can wash away all dirt. Where we can lay of our burdens and walk to Jesus.
narrow gate
I dream of a church where the door of Salvation stands open for all, but too narrow for filth to get through. Where Jesus can welcome us on the other side of the narrow door and give us His salvation.

I dream of a church which is a temple where God is worshiped in His way, not ours. A temple of the Lord where we can meet Him in all His splendor, purity and holiness.

Christ Jesus gives us His righteousness so that we may implement it in our lives. Because when we live in Christ we are
When we live in Christ we become God’s image. Just as He is God’s image in full. Thus the original creation gets its last touch.

Then sin is upheaved. goodandfaithfulservantThen our incompleteness is satisfied. Complete.

Free from incompleteness, every sin, all baggage.

Through Christ alone we become perfect.
In Christ alone we are God’s image and likeness.
By Christ alone we become qualified to stand before God, be with God, live with God, being holy and pure, for ever and ever.

Don’t you want to have it?

The End (for now)
