My mother gave me the best possible Christmas present, a book by Brother Roger from Taizé with short meditations and reflections for every day of the year.

The texts are wonderful!

One, however, puzzles me. It says:

How aware are we that for God each human is “blessed/sanctified by her childhoods wounded innocence”?

(In Swedish “Hur medvetna är vi om att för Gud är en människa “helgad genom sin barndoms sårade oskuld”?”)

It feels completely right even though I don’t understand it. I can’t figure out why. Can you?
